- ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪I have never rated lower than four stars to a doctor I've seen. But I would rate even lower than one star if there is the option here. I want to share my experience about this doctor and her office so that readers can have one 'data point' when choosing dentist for their kids. My daughter was referred by our family doctor to Dr Yahn. After I received the estimation of treatment, I checked multiple times with staff in the office and was always told that my insurance will cover majority cost. After the treatment, all bills came to me. And I was told by Dr Yahn that there is a 'miscommunication' about the insurance coverage and the staff who told me that is no longer working there! On the phone, this doctor told me that I have to pay for the bill with no discount because she and her staff do not have any responsibility. I know that I signed the agreement before the treatment and don't have any written evidence about what her staff have told me. But this would work out much better if I was told something like "we are not sure if your insurance will cover or not, please check with your insurance company first" at beginning. I would have called my insurance company first and may go to another dental office, or, at least, be prepared for the high bill. I was also shocked by the rude attitude of this doctor when discussing about the bill. Anyway, I decide to learn the lesson, pay the bill, and find another pediatric dentist. If you still want to take your kids to see this dentist, please be very cautious about any word they say as it can be very misleading to tease you sign a treatment agreement.August 26, 2017by Daisy
